The benefits
From the moment you join Rolls-Royce, you'll be a valuable member of the team and we'll make sure your work is well-rewarded. So we won’t just train you for a well-paid career; we’ll pay you a competitive salary from day one of your Apprenticeship. How much you earn depends on your role and location, but you'll start on around £11,875 a year. You’ll also benefit from a competitive pension plan and 33 days’ holiday, including Bank Holidays, every year.

The qualification
Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll go to college to study for nationally recognised qualifications. These will include NVQs or SVQs at Level 4 or 5 in Engineering Leadership, among other qualifications. You may also be able to continue studying beyond your apprenticeship for more advanced qualifications like Higher National Certificates, Higher National Diplomas or Foundation Degrees.

The experience
Learning from and being supported by world-class engineers on live projects as part of a high valued advanced engineering business is a fantastic opportunity. But life at Rolls-Royce is about much more than ingenious engineering. Our people are welcoming and helpful, and you’ll work alongside experts who are eager to pass on decades of experience, as well as other fresh faces like you. It’s a friendly place to work, so although what we do demands extreme focus, we also make time to get to know each other.

On top of that, our Apprentice & Graduate Association organise a whole range of activities. In the past, these have included wakeboarding, water skiing, paintballing and go-karting. Less formally organised social events are also a regular occurrence, so it probably won’t be long before you’re invited out to get to know everyone better.

We also offer all our apprentices the chance to develop through tailored – and fun – team building. You’ll therefore go on our Outward Bound Professional Programme to help develop some of the important skills you'll need at Rolls-Royce. Through exciting, fast-paced activities outdoors and in the classroom, you'll improve your teamwork, self-confidence and communication skills. You'll push yourself in new and different ways. And your experiences mean you'll come back to work an even stronger member of our team.
