The Tay 611-8C, powers the Gulfstream G350 and G450 business jets and has been designed to continue the record of outstanding reliable service.

Since entry into service in 1988 as the sole powerplant for the Gulfstream GIV, the Tay has established a reputation for outstanding reliability, economy, good propulsive efficiency and low noise generation and has more than 2,000 engines installed worldwide.

The latest Tay model, the Tay 611-8C, combines an advanced wide-chord fan with a service-proven core and a new digital electronic engine control system. The engine offers exceptional operability, maintainability and excellent fuel efficiency.

The Core of reliability

  • Derived from the successful Trent large engine family, the Tay brings the advanced technology of the large engines into the business jet
  • The Tay is a two-shaft medium-bypass ratio engine featuring a 44-45 inch diameter wide-chord fan and a three-stage LP compressor behind it
  • 12-stage HP compressor with an annular combustion system, consisting of ten combustors
  • Two-stage HP turbine and three-stage LP turbine
  • The majority of the bypass duct is constructed in carbon fibre composite material
  • Cold bypass air and hot exhaust are combined in a forced mixer that gives good propulsive efficiency and low noise generation
  • By the end of 2016 the Tay 611-8C and Tay611-8 had accumulated more than 11 m Engine Flying Hours since entry into service combined
  • The Tay 611-8C builds on the experience of more than 2,000 Tay engines in service with customers world-wide, having accumulated more than 36million engine flying hours

CorporateCare Enhanced is a total risk transfer program that increases asset value and liquidity.

For a fixed hourly cost CorporateCare Enhanced covers all Engine parts and labour when the time comes for the engine to be sent to an authorised Rolls-Royce overhaul facility. It covers all parts and labour for mandatory and recommended service bulletins, as well as unscheduled shop visit costs.

This comprehensive coverage permits accurate budgeting based on each aircraft’s forecast utilisation. The Rolls-Royce global network of repair and overhaul operations ensures convenient access to the required facilities. Quality is assured as only authorised Rolls-Royce facilities are used for CorporateCare Enhanced.
