A Mission-Ready Partnership

Project Pele is the first and only advanced microreactor in the U.S. scheduled to produce electricity by 2028. The Department of Defense has emphasized that resilient, deployable power is critical to mission success. As part of the BWXT team, Rolls-Royce LibertyWorks is delivering the advanced power conversion system that enables the microreactor to reliably generate mission-assured electric power in remote or contested environments.

“With decades of experience delivering compact, efficient, and mission-critical power systems, Rolls-Royce LibertyWorks is uniquely positioned to meet the demanding technical and operational requirements of this effort,” said John Shade, Rolls-Royce Executive Vice President, Business Development and Future Programs.
