Fire Testing

Use our expertise in fire resistance and proofness testing; with operating fuel, oil and pneumatic systems.

Fire Testing

Our Fire Test Facility based in Solihull, UK, specialises in Fire Resistance and Proofness tests of operating fuel, oil and pneumatic systems.

A wide variety of testing can be performed with a Kerosene Burner to multiple standards, including: CS-E 130, AC20-135, ISO2685 and RRES9002.

Our Fire Test Facility has an integrated Motor Drive System to facilitate testing with an operational pump and a Fuel System Rig, enabling testing to be completed at representative functional conditions.

Portable modules can be added to the facility to enable testing using oil, static compressed air, low flow air and vacuum. Our facility is also configurable to test dry/static components including electronics components.

Our team of experienced experts can support your testing requirement to help deliver you a customised test solution, including: test planning, test requirements definition, test execution and reporting.

Thermal Paint

We can provide you rapid visual evidence of peak temperatures and isothermal distributions.

Thermal Paint

Temperature indicating paints are a time dependant measurement technique with the ability to provide rapid visual evidence of peak temperatures and isothermal distributions.

Temperatures are indicated by colour changes and/or surface texture, which are brought about by irreversible chemical reactions that occur at one or more distinct temperatures (change points). Thermal paints can provide temperature distributions for component surfaces that are impractical to obtain, for example: aero engine turbine blades, vanes, segments, combustors and rotating components within harsh environments.

Our thermal paints are manufactured in-house to our own unique specifications and high-quality standards. Our team of experts have decades of experience, and can help you identify the most appropriate options to deliver your specific needs.

Our Thermal Paint department also manufacture High Emissivity paints and High Temperature Strain Gauge cement. Emissivity paints are used to improve the accuracy of thermal camera / pyrometer measurements by providing a constant emissivity values. The strain gauge cement is used to bond strain gauges and instrumentation in high temperature applications.
