TotalCare®

TotalCare is much more than just an engine maintenance plan. It is a service concept based upon predictability and reliability that you rely on.

TotalCare covers predictive maintenance planning, workscope creation and management, as well as off-wing repair and overhaul activities. TotalCare transfers both time-on-wing and shop visit cost risks back to Rolls-Royce.

SelectCare 

Long-term shop visit cost risk transfer with the flexibility to select additional services.

SelectCare

SelectCare ® combines long-term shop visit cost certainty with the freedom to choose from a range of optional services.

SelectCare provides two offerings: SelectCare - Refurb to fix the price of a committed number of refurbishment shop visits, and SelectCare - Repair to transfer the risk of unexpected check and repair shop visits to Rolls-Royce via a $/engine flying hour mechanism for as long as you operate your engines. SelectCare - Refurb and SelectCare - Repair can be chosen independently or combined as complementary services, in addition to a range of optional services.

SelectCare is attractive to operators of mature fleets, allowing flexibility in the management of your engines while maintaining a level of cost certainty appropriate to your needs.

SelectCare - Refurb

At the heart of SelectCare – Refurb is a fixed price overhaul arrangement. Unlike traditional fixed-price overhaul schemes which only fix prices for a matter of months and are only applicable to a specific engine, under SelectCare – Refurb we use our unparalleled fleet experience to offer pricing valid for as long as you operate your engines that can be applied to any or all of your engine fleet.

Under SelectCare – Refurb an overhaul shop visit draws on the same workscope that a TotalCare shop visit would have, uses the same materials and is performed by the same engineering teams.

The price of these shop visits is known for the duration of the SelectCare – Refurb agreement with larger volumes attracting lower prices. Each shop visit is paid for when it occurs.

Check and repair shop visits are not covered under SelectCare – Refurb, but these can be covered by SelectCare – Repair or conducted by us on a time and material basis.

Alternatively, you may choose to have your check and repair shop visits conducted at any facility that is certified for your engine type. As your engine approach retirement, you might not want them to have a full life overhaul. We are happy to work with you to compose a tailored workscope to deliver the service life and performance that you require. If necessary, these tailored workscopes can draw upon parts that you already own; either serviceable used material (SUM) or new parts that you may have been holding in your inventory.

SelectCare - Repair

Under SelectCare – Repair, you pay a known $/efh rate throughout the agreed term. This covers all check and repair shop visits that are necessary to return engines to service following engine or component failure, non-negligent FOD ingestion or the issue of Airworthiness Directives and Alert Service Bulletins.

There is no cap on the number of qualifying check and repairs covered in the term or the cost of any individual shop visit, so you can enjoy a high degree of cost certainty.

Refurbishment shop visits are not covered by SelectCare – Repair, but these can be covered by SelectCare – Refurb or conducted by us on a time and material basis. Alternatively, you may choose to refurbish your engine at any facility that is approved for your engine type. If the refurbishment is performed according to the Rolls-Royce Engine Management Plan (EMP) then SelectCare – Repair cover can be continued after the engine refurbishment.

Foundation Services 

Event-based services, for customers who require neither risk transfer nor long-term services.

Foundation Services

These are short-term, event-based services that we can provide for you, without the need for a long-term services contract.

Foundation Services can be used either to supplement your existing TotalCare or SelectCare cover or as an alternative to a long-term services agreement. The main ingredients of Foundation Services are Fixed-Price Overhauls and Time and Material shop visits, as described below.

You may also procure other services, such as On-Wing services, training or dedicated spare engine leasing, even if you do not need an engine overhaul. Some Foundation Services are provided free of charge to all customers, the rest are paid for when they are delivered and hence there is no need for any $/efh payment structure.
