Modular design

Superior power to weight ratio

  • Two-shaft modular design featuring a two-stage LP turbine, two-stage HP turbine, and a gearbox delivering 6,000 RPM output.
  • Compressed air is routed to the aft end of the engine for combustion, with exhaust gases exit from the middle.
  • The Series II engine features four to six-stage axial and single-stage centrifugal compressors with a hydro mechanical fuel control system.
  • The Series IV engine has a single-stage centrifugal flow compressor.
  • The latest Series IV turboshaft engines feature a dual channel FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine Control) system.

M250/RR300 FIRST Network™

The Rolls-Royce FIRST (Fully Integrated Rolls-Royce Support Team) network is the authorized global support network for operators of M250 and RR300 engines, providing affordable, reliable support solutions.

The FIRST Network includes more than 30 approved, licensed service centers and Aviall locations around the world, and its competitive structure means operators can find affordable and reliable service anywhere for Rolls-Royce M250 or RR300 engines. Aviall Inc. (a Boeing company) is a key part of the FIRST Network and is the global authorized distributor for Rolls-Royce M250/RR300 engines, parts, modules and tooling.

Rolls-Royce has released a new smart phone app, bringing all the benefits of FIRST Network helicopter support direct to the phones and tablets of operators. The new, free app brings simple, searchable information about the FIRST Network directly to operators wherever they may be.

The app is available for both Apple and Google Android devices, and can be located by searching for the Rolls-Royce FIRST Network in either app store.

Customer training

We train people that maintain Rolls-Royce engines. As specialists in our field we can assist with the identification of your training requirements. Rolls-Royce has a wide range of learning and development opportunities which may benefit your business, organisation and personnel.

Customer training is fully integrated into the Rolls-Royce Technical Services organisation and MissionCare®. Courses are a mix of classroom instruction and practical engine activities.

Rolls-Royce offers customers the opportunity to access Customer & Product Training via MyLearning.
