Rolls-Royce welcomes Avolon’s decision to extend its Trent 7000-powered A330neo fleet

Rolls-Royce is delighted to welcome Avolon’s selection of an additional 20 Trent 7000-powered Airbus A330neos. The international leasing company, which signed an MoU for the aircraft with Airbus at the Paris Air Show today, already includes 55 A330neos in its portfolio of owned, managed and committed aircraft.

For the A330neo, Airbus has brought the latest generation technology to the hugely successful A330, the best-selling widebody aircraft ever, to deliver latest generation aircraft economics for its operators. Whilst the Trent 7000 brings the very latest gas turbine technology, delivering exceptional reliability, sustainable performance, and proven versatility.

The Trent 7000 also enables the aircraft to deliver a 25% fuel savings per seat over previous gen aircraft, whilst significantly reducing emissions. The reduction in emissions will avoid more than one hundred thousand tons of CO₂ emissions over the lifetime of an aircraft.

The engine is also certified to operate on a 50 per cent Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) blend and will be proven to be compatible with 100% SAF by the end of 2023.

The Trent 7000 will support Avolon’s ambitious growth plans by providing availability, reliability and efficiency to its lease customers.
