Time machines fighting COVID-19

Business jets are often described as today’s time machines. In the fight against the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, our customers are utilizing the advantages of business aviation to quickly move urgently required medical supplies to where they are needed most.

Our customers continue to conduct critical operations around the clock. As world leaders in business aviation, we are here to support. Even in these unprecedented times, our Business Aviation Aircraft Availability Centre in Germany looks after over 9,000 engines in service worldwide; operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

NetJets is one of our Business Jet operators who are doing everything they can to protect their employees and owners throughout the pandemic, and to help others. They have partnered with their owners to transport desperately needed personal protective equipment to frontline health care workers.

On 1 May 2020, four NetJets Global 6000s, powered by our successful BR710 engines, departed for Shanghai, China, on a mission to return with half a million COVID-19 antibody tests. Within a mere 36 hours of the aircraft departing Shanghai, tests were being administered to frontline health care workers and first responders in Florida, Ohio, and North Carolina. This initiative reflects NetJets sustained commitment to keeping people safe in the air and on the ground, and we are proud that our engines deliver the power for their Global 6000 fleet.

Our dedicated Business Aviation team continue to provide essential services and support to our customers who are fighting the global pandemic.
