Rolls-Royce welcomes SAS order for 20 A330neo aircraft | Rolls-Royce

Rolls-Royce (LSE: RR., ADR: RYCEY) congratulates SAS on its order for 20 A330neo aircraft, which will be powered by 40 Trent 7000 engines.

This is the first SAS order for A330neo aircraft, which are exclusively powered by the Trent 7000. The transaction also includes 10 A330neo purchase rights to provide flexibility for the airline to realise future growth opportunities

The A330neo / Trent 7000 combination delivers a 14% better fuel burn per seat than the previous generation, whilst significantly lowering emissions.

With more than five million flying hours, the Trent 7000 draws on the technology and experience of the most advanced family of engines in the world. As the latest member of the Trent family, the Trent 7000 is based on Trent XWB technology and has delivered exceptional reliability since its entry into service.

The Trent 7000 is certified to operate on a 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) blend today and has been proven to be compatible with up to 100% SAF for the future.
