The security of cargos is enhanced by the best anchoring and mooring equipment, and Rolls-Royce is market leader in this area – a position it has established by working closely and consistently with its customers, listening to their operational requirements and developing products and systems that precisely match those needs.
We make both mooring winches and combined anchor and mooring winches. Available in three main types – low- and high-pressure hydraulic drives or electric drive – our winches are of a modular design, enabling them to be tailored specifically for an individual operator or vessel.
Low-pressure hydraulic driven winches are inherently reliable and robust. Their dynamic lowering capability, which allows the anchor to be paid out at speeds of up to 40 metres a minute using the hydraulic motor, ensures a very controlled operation with minimal risk and no wear to the mechanical brake.
High-pressure hydraulic winches are easy to install and have excellent stall characteristics and low-speed performance.
Among our electric driven winches, three speed pole-change drives are inherently simple, reliable and robust, giving very precise single-lever control, while frequency-converter drives allow stepless speed control and very low noise operation.
