Meet Mark. Like many other parents, Mark works from home and looks after his three young boys together with his wife Joe.
He is all too familiar with the plights of home schooling and explains how long division forms part of his biggest challenges. Children unexpectedly interrupting meetings are being embraced as features of working from home and give a rare insight into people’s private personalities. However, Mark is also conscious that working from home makes it more difficult to “switch off” and the mental health challenges associated with that. To strike the balance Mark takes the time to enjoy the garden with the family, introduce the boys to new influences such as the Friday night live streamed musicals or helping them pick up new skills that may be relevant for jobs that don’t even exist today.
This is a story of how we equip our kids with skills for the future.
