The Canadian Coast Guard had a set of unique requirements when choosing a power solution for its Mid-Shore Patrol Vessels, including high power density, excellent fuel efficiency and long service life compared to alternative engines of the same class. Additionally, the solution had to fit within the confined space of the vessel’s hull. Our mtu Series 4000 marine engines were perfectly suited, delivering the optimum power-to-weight ratio.
