Derby
Derby has been home to Rolls-Royce for more than 100 years. Derby is our largest site and it's where we design, assemble and test our Trent jet engines. With a number of business functions based here, including research and technology, manufacturing operations and business support services, Derby is a great place for students and graduates to gain wide exposure to our organisation and engineering expertise.
Derby is an affordable place to live, and while it's close to the breathtaking scenery of the Peak District and the National Forest, it's also just two hours by train from central London.
Bristol
Rolls-Royce people across a number of businesses in Bristol. These include defence aerospace, turbines, component services, marine and aero repair and overhaul. The variety here is huge and, because in recent years we invested over £75 million redeveloping our Bristol site as part of a nationwide investment in world-class operations and assembly facilities, it's also a state-of-the-art place to work.
Located in the south west of England, Bristol has good road, rail and air links, and is one of the UK's greenest cities. It's also a hub of creativity, and the art, design and broader cultural scene in the city is said by many to rival that of London.
