Historical data from various legacy systems will be coordinated with event logs and user stories to build a digital representation of the existing air refueling processes. 

RR-AROPS

The Rolls-Royce Air Refueling Optimization and Planning System (RR-AROPS)* software is a mature COTS product that provides automated planning, execution and analysis capability across the entire spectrum of the air refueling enterprise. This will be inserted into the OPDT to automate steps within the process.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

Utilizing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms, the software can perform multi-scenario analysis in a variety of virtual environments at low-cost and while incurring no-risk. The OPDT will learn over time, ingesting historical data from completed missions.

The twin will monitor the performance of the enterprise and identify when things aren’t going as planned. As an example, the twin can analyze deviations from plan on a particular day and identify the impacts of those changes. It recommends courses of action, such as moving receiver or tanker mission to other locations or times.
