International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), the largest US-based aircraft leasing company, has chosen Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines to power 40 of 74 Boeing 787 Dreamliners it has on order.

When the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner is unveiled on Sunday (July 8) at its official Premiere in Seattle, it will roll out with two next generation Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines - the leading powerplant for all versions of the 787.

Power generation utility Hidroeléctrica La Higuera S.A. has ordered a Trent 60 Wet Low Emissions (WLE) Dual Fuel power generation package, capable of providing up to 58MW of electrical power at ISO conditions, for its new power plant at Colmito, Chile.
