As a global company headquartered in the UK, throughout October we’re celebrating the people of African and Caribbean descent who’ve been shaping our culture. We’ll be learning about some of the Black heroes who’ve been pioneers in our industry and more broadly in the UK. Some of these heroes are also our own, Rolls-Royce heroes.
Global events earlier in 2020 have highlighted the extent to which discrimination and racial inequality still exist. But, following the tragic death of George Floyd, we have seen a real desire for change.
We can now write a new chapter in our history. An inclusive, diverse and honest chapter, as we shape our future, together. It’s now time to celebrate, recognise and make visible the achievements of our Black heroes and pioneers of change, as well as their allies, and continue to build a culture at Rolls-Royce where all of us can be at our best.
Join us in support of the amazing work of the Rolls-Royce UK African Caribbean Pioneer’s Network (ACPN) at their conference on Thursday 15th October, 14:00 – 16:00 BST, as we celebrate UK Black History Month and ask ourselves, ‘What’s Next?’.
Sign up here to hear from Lynette Kebirungi, ACPN Chair, celebrated external speakers and Maria Kokkinou, Global Head of Talent, Leadership, Capabilities & Inclusion.
Across the rest of the month we’ll be sharing our reflections from the event, along with the stories of our own Rolls-Royce heroes.
