We were delighted to welcome the UK Prime Minister and Jack Lopresti to our Bristol site and share with them the critical role we play in keeping the country and our allies safe. What we do is integral to the UK’s air and naval programmes, including its contribution to the design and development of the next generation of fighter aircraft.

“Our Bristol facility is the home of the UK’s defence air power and propulsion capability, which retains high-value skills and jobs and contributes to the country’s share of the global export market.

“During the visit, I also spoke to the Prime Minister about our highly differentiated nuclear capabilities including the Rolls-Royce small modular reactor (SMR) - the UK’s first domestic nuclear technology in more than 20 years that will provide a British solution to a global energy crisis.

“We also discussed leading-edge development in our micro-reactor technology to deploy power on both land and in space giving us the opportunity to explore Earth and beyond.”
