Rolls-Royce Defence has this week hosted the Defence Supplier Conference, an unique and exciting opportunity to collaborate with suppliers from across the UK to help transform and grow our business. From future combat to naval capability, and from digital innovation to sustainability, the two-day event enabled our supply chain teams to interact with organisations from across the UK and beyond on some of the key strategic elements for our business. The key themes were, the decade of growth, agility and resilience and fair and demanding.

Around 100 companies attended the event with over 250 attendees from organisations such as Avio Aero, QinetiQ, Moog and Progressive Technologies. 40% of the suppliers were UK based SME’s or Academia. The conference also saw representation from across our armed forces customers with a Voice of the Customer presentation from Vice Admiral Sir Chris Gardner.

Throughout the course of the day workshops were held on relationship management, generating best value, future programmes and sustainability.
