We are an inclusive organisation and committed to creating an environment where everyone can be at their best, which also means an environment where everyone feels safe to be themselves. Dignity and respect for all is mandatory and we don’t tolerate prejudice. Everyone is welcome here.

As an organisation, we are fortunate to have three very active employee resource groups, dedicated to raising awareness of the issues faced by colleagues who identify as LGBT+, and of how we can support them as a business. These groups are Prism in the UK, Pride at Rolls-Royce Deutschland in Germany, and Propel with Pride in North America.

Our employee resource groups are highly influential in helping us to create a safe and welcoming environment through training, events and activities and we are proud of the inspirational individuals who make sure that the voices of our LGBT+ colleagues are heard. It’s because of these networks that many of our people have found the courage to express their true selves at work, as illustrated by Kaz’s story. And our people and our customers benefit from the diverse, inclusive and collaborative culture this helps to foster.

Over the last three years, our teams around the world have supported IDAHOBIT in a variety of ways, from the rainbow-coloured logo you can see here at our Derwent site, created in 2017 to the people-rainbow created at several sites in 2018.  This year, we are standing together whilst most of us are staying apart due to COVID-19, so we hope you enjoy the variety of at-home-backdrops from our people around the world who are celebrating inclusion with us!
