Rolls-Royce Singapore and Boeing collaborate to support Women in STEM

Building a career in STEM

On 27 June 2019, Rolls-Royce Singapore’s Seletar Campus and Boeing jointly hosted 24 students aged 15- 18 from three secondary schools.

Leanne Caret, CEO of Boeing Defense, Space and Security, and Louise Donaghey, SVP of Rolls-Royce Defence for India and South Asia, engaged the students in an intimate discussion of their personal journeys and shared how they built their STEM careers in a male-dominated industry.

The students also toured facilities such as Seletar Test & Assembly Unit (SATU), Fan Blade Singapore (FBSG), and Singapore Service Centre (SSC) to better understand operations.

The students also toured facilities such as Seletar Test & Assembly Unit (SATU), Fan Blade Singapore (FBSG), and Singapore Service Centre (SSC) to better understand operations.

They also had the chance to interact with other women in the industry, who were at Seletar to attend an International Aviation Women’s Association (IAWA) networking event hosted by Rolls-Royce, and to understand the variety of roles in aviation available to them.
