We've been advised that some of our shareholders have received unsolicited phone calls or letters from individuals or companies offering to buy or sell shares on very favourable terms. The callers can be very persuasive and extremely persistent, and often have professional websites and telephone numbers to support their activities. These callers will sometimes imply a connection to Rolls-Royce and provide incorrect or misleading information.

This type of call should be treated as an investment scam – the safest thing to do is hang up.

You should always check that any firm contacting you about potential investment opportunities is properly authorised by the FCA.

The FCA provides a lot of useful information and online tools for investors to provide guidance based on the type of investment you may have been offered and how you heard about it. Visit the FCA’s website. We recommend that if you suspect you have been contacted by investment fraudsters you check the FCA Warning List to check that a firm is properly authorised.

Remember: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

To check whether a letter or telephone call you have received is legitimate you can contact our Registrar. You can also check with a member of the Rolls-Royce Governance Team.

If you have already paid money to share fraudsters contact Action Fraud immediately.
