Over the last ten years, we’ve invested hundreds of millions of pounds to regenerate and expand our UK production facilities. We now have over 22,000 employees across seven sites in the UK, from Scotland to Bristol, and have recently opened or expanded several new manufacturing and research centres.
Our Company Headquarters for our Civil Aerospace, Defence Aerospace and Nuclear businesses is based in the UK, along with many of our Naval and Power Systems activities.
In 2017 alone we allocated £150m for investment in our UK aerospace facilities.
As a result of developments in manufacturing technology we have built new facilities in Washington, Tyne and Wear, Rotherham and Solihull, using new processes to drive down cost.
We are creating the global centre for our composite fan system technology development in Bristol, as well as revamping existing facilities to sustain jobs, build revenue and boost economic growth.
