Our people in the UK

Powered by our people, we are investing in talent to build our industry’s future

People

World-class power in everything we do: we are building the future, generation by generation, with our teams of experts who are working to influence and transform the way the world works. We are creating the engineers of the future through our apprenticeship and graduate programmes, and providing ongoing career inspiration and rewards for innovation and high achievement at every level.

We are investing in STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths – education to ensure our industry has a pool of talent to build future successes. With our Rolls-Royce STEM ambassadors in place, we are committed to inspiring people by showing them the opportunities that STEM careers can offer and equipping them with the right skills to create a future that benefits us all. We have set an ambitious target to reach 6 million people through worldwide STEM education programmes and activities by 2020.

We are proud to work with more work experience students in the UK than anybody else in the engineering industry through our early work experience placements for 14-19 year olds, apprenticeship schemes and graduate programmes across the UK.

We encourage academic innovation in the UK through the Rolls-Royce Science Prize, an annual awards programme that helps teachers implement science teaching ideas in their schools and colleges.
