Our defence aerospace operation, based in Bristol, powers the RAF’s Eurofighter Typhoon and Airbus A400M aircraft. We supply pressurised water reactors to propel the Royal Navy’s nuclear-powered submarines, from our Derby base.
The world’s most efficient large aero engine – our Trent XWB – is built in Derby and over 1,600 have been ordered by customers including British Airways and Virgin Atlantic. Our diesel engines drive trains across the UK and our MTU PowerPacks will power Hitachi’s UK Intercity Express Programme.
