Rolls-Royce in Singapore
We’ve been in Singapore since the 1950s, and today, the country is a key regional hub for our Civil, Defence, Marine and Power Systems businesses.
At our Seletar Campus, we assemble and test Trent aero engines including the Trent 900 engine for the Airbus A380 and the Trent 1000 engine for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Singapore is also the only place outside the UK to manufacture our patented hollow, titanium wide-chord fan blade.
Our Customer Service Centre helps to support all airline customers across Asia Pacific, delivering innovative data services, coordinating operational planning and leading customer account management.
And in the Advanced Technology Centre, we’re developing advanced technologies to support core business areas in key fields of research: materials support technology, computational engineering, electrical power and control systems, and manufacturing technology. We also partner with the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the National University of Singapore (NUS) to explore opportunities to develop products and manufacturing methods for the future. We were a founding member of the Advanced Remanufacturing Technology Centre (ARTC).
Our Regional Training Centre (the first of its kind for Rolls-Royce in Asia) is helping to nurture and train today’s aerospace and marine talent for tomorrow’s world.
We’re a key supplier to the Republic of Singapore Air Force and through our MTU Asia headquarters at Tukang Innovation Park we’re supporting our customers as power demands in the marine, oil and gas, rail and energy industries increase across Asia.
