Barnoldswick
Situated on the border of Lancashire and Yorkshire, our Barnoldswick facility employs 950 people and is one of the largest employers in the area. Its two sites, Bankfield and Ghyll Brow, have been producing wide chord fan blades (WCFBs) for Rolls-Royce engines since the early 1970s. This began with the first generation of hollow blades and continues today with the third generation wide chord fan blade for the Trent 900 aero engine.
Our Barnoldswick facility is part of the Gas Turbine Supply Chain. In addition to ensuring we remain at the forefront of fan blade technology, it is also the main producer of front bearing housings for Rolls-Royce aero-engines.
