“Work takes up too much time not to enjoy it, so basically my philosophy is having fun at work. This includes daily learning opportunities, being surrounded by colleagues I like a lot, and tasks that are both exciting and challenging. Being part of a company that has “net zero carbon” on its roadmap feels great. I am an aeronautical engineer with specialisation in aircraft propulsion, so working for Rolls-Royce is like a vocational dream coming true – I would not have imagined doing this even a couple of years ago without having to move abroad.”

“Rolls-Royce is a well-known company worldwide with a good reputation in the aviation industry. It has a long history of making propulsion systems, but also has a strong commitment towards establishing the technological basis of a more sustainable aviation. I’m proud of being part of this journey, which is exciting, beautiful, but of course full of challenges, too. I believe in the power of teamwork. In my opinion, it usually gives the best results in problem solving as diverse perspectives complement each other and ideas generate new ideas.”

Gábor Bihari

Gábor Bihari

“I have been working in electric aviation for almost seven years, developing multiple aircraft prototypes, with several successful maiden flights under my belt, and with my team, we have achieved great results. Now we are moving forward from prototype development to actual product development. The reason why I joined the Rolls-Royce team is that I want to change the world. To achieve something no one has achieved before, something important. If someone will read about the history of electrifying aviation in the future, they will read about us.”

Attila Vörösváczki

Test and Laboratory Technician, Rolls-Royce Hungary

Attila Vörösváczki

“My hobby is aviation. When I have the opportunity, I like to fly with my pilot friends. To understand why aviation is an inseparable part of me and my family’s life, my partner is a Military Air Traffic Controller at the Hungarian Air Force and our three year old son is also interested in the aeroplanes. Therefore, I’m really proud developing technology innovations shaping the future of sustainable aviation and flight safety solutions like the H3PS demonstrator project.”

Réka Kovács

‘With the development team we are working on the safe and efficient distribution of electrical power and electric supply in all-electric vertical take-off and landing air taxis, as well as commuter aircraft. I enjoy working in this very interesting field of engineering where we see many challenges and are working to find innovative solutions. I believe our efforts will contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly means of transportation. I like spending my free time with outdoor activities like trekking, mountain biking and running my organic garden. Being a mother of three children it is also important to me to keep the environment clean and healthy for the next generation.’

“Being a member of the Rolls-Royce team, I am proud that we develop real technological innovations that contribute to a more livable future. For aviation to be sustainable, special engineering solutions are needed from design to production, solutions that currently do not exist on the market. If we can offer an environmentally friendly solution to the biggest challenges of aviation, weight, performance, and battery capacity, we will be able to positively influence the lives of millions.”

András Lukács

Mechanical Design Engineer, Rolls-Royce Hungary

András Lukács

“Sustainability permeates my entire career; it has always been my goal to create an engineering solution from scratch that is environmentally friendly. I like to build the future, to shape the technical content for it, to create something that no one has created before. In addition to development, our goal is to raise awareness, set an example, and achieve a paradigm shift. Across the aviation industry, we need to recognise the importance of sustainable power distribution and propulsion systems. We can only help shape net zero travel and transport habits of future generations by working with industry partners.”
