Complex interaction

The Rolls-Royce hydrodynamic test centre is located in Kristinehamn, Sweden.

Together with Maritek in Trondheim, this research centre plays an important role in enhancing the level of interaction between the main ship's systems to maximise the vessel's operational efficiency and reliability. For example, the test centres are is used to reveal the complex interaction between hull, shaft and propeller. By means of such tests, the vessel can be tailored to meet the customer's requirements with regard to fuel efficiency, speed and operational reliability.
