Course objectives
This course is designed to familiarize the student with all Model 250 engine variants, including engine construction, operation and applications. Emphasis is placed on the basic design principles of the Model 250 series of engines. Course material is presented by traditional lecture and the Rolls-Royce computer based training (CBT) system. Computer courseware for specific engine models will be available for the students. Instructor presentations will cover the characteristics of, and differences between, the Model 250 variants. Interaction with the educational software, as well as hands-on examination of component parts, will enhance student understanding of the various topics covered. The computer
training environment will allow students to study model-specific material and review topics most relevant to their needs.
Student training is available on the following engines:
Model 250 Series II (turboshaft and turboprop)
