Crosspointe facility, Virginia

For Rolls-Royce, the new Crosspointe campus located near Richmond, Virginia is a flagship facility serving as a state-of-the-art hub for advanced manufacturing as well as research and development activities. Fundamental to the success of the campus is a commitment to partnerships with a wide array of stakeholders including government, leading academic institutions and supply chain partners.

Our work with government and the prominence of the Crosspointe campus were highlighted in March 2012 when we were honored to host President Obama at Crosspointe. This flagship visit was widely attended by several key stakeholder communities and local, state and federal government officials, including the Governor of Virginia, Bob McDonnell. During the visit President Obama toured the facility, met company employees and delivered an address on the significance of advanced manufacturing and the importance of investing in America.

As part of Rolls-Royce’s ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability of both our products and operations, the new facilities at Crosspointe are LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver equivalent buildings and incorporate several unique environmental features, such as rainwater and sunlight harvesting, and are targeted to emit zero waste to landfill.

As an employer and neighbor, Rolls-Royce is committed to the growth and success of the Crosspointe campus and to continuing to establish Virginia as a leading centre for advanced manufacturing and innovation.
