Rising to the challenge

To realise the potential opportunities the growth brings, we must have a supply chain that can meet our customers requirements. To support this we are improving our productivity and efficiency and are continuing to develop an organisation that reflects the truly global nature of our business. We have strengthened our focus on our global supply chain through the Supply Chain Simplification Programme, realigning resources internally to ensure a more effective supply chain management.

The programme to renew our UK factories was completed in 2007, and in November we announced plans to open two new aero engine assembly facilities in Singapore and Virginia. The Economic Development Agencies associated with these regions took the opportunity to meet with our top strategic Partners and Suppliers at the recent Global Supplier Forum on 12th & 13th March in Atlanta Georgia, USA.
