| 3. Early supplier engagement
Gaining competitive advantage through delivery of the best
technical product, with the lowest through-life cost, by
leveraging the combined technical capabilities of Rolls-Royce
and its suppliers. This is being enabled through earlier
supplier engagement processes. Much of this early engagement
will be ahead of any specific new programme launch and position
us well when new market opportunities arise.
4. Supplier operational management
Consisting firstly of the Supplier Total Evaluation Process
(STEP) which replaces the Supplier Performance Measurement
Process (SPM) and reduces the number, duplication and complexity
of supplier assessments, significantly enhancing the effectiveness
of these assessments to the benefit of both Rolls-Royce
and our suppliers.
