Automatically collected data

We log visitor's domain and IP address automatically; this information does not identify you as an individual, but only the computer that is being used to view the site. This data is used to see where the site is being used globally to better understand site usage, so that we can improve our service. We do not link information automatically logged by such means with personal data about specific individuals.

Collection of non-personally identifiable information

We collect anonymous visitor information like IP addresses, browser types, referring pages, pages visited and time spent on the web site. We collect this non-personally identifiable information for the following purposes:

Combination of browsing information with personal information

We do not collect any personal information from website visitors, therefore we do not and cannot combine traffic analysis information with personal information such as name, age, phone number or mailing address.

Use of aggregated data

We may share non-personal aggregate statistics (group) data about our site visitors' traffic patterns with partners or other parties. However, we do not sell any information about individual users.

Recording of telephone calls

Applicants for jobs within Rolls-Royce plc may have telephone contact with our UK-based HR Shared Service Centre.

All incoming calls to the Rolls-Royce HR Shared Service Customer Support team are recorded to allow us to carry out call coaching with our Customer Support Advisors.

  • Call recordings are used to improve the quality of service provided by the HR Shared Service Customer Support team
  • All call recordings are accessed directly from the main telephony server, which is kept in a secure environment
  • Access to this information is only available to approved staff, using a specific secure PC
  • All call voice recordings are stored on a secure server within a locked room and all recordings are destroyed on a rolling 60 day schedule

Your rights

In addition to the company's safeguards, your personal data is protected in the UK by the Data Protection Act. This provides amongst other things that the data we hold about you should be processed lawfully and fairly. It should be accurate, relevant and not excessive. The information should be kept up to date, where necessary, and not retained for longer than is necessary. It should be kept securely to prevent unauthorised access by other people. You have the right to see what is held about you and correct any inaccuracies online. You can do this by using the "login" link at the beginning of the Alerting Service page.
