Rolls-Royce in Singapore

Singapore is a key business hub for Rolls-Royce and all four of our major business sectors – civil and defence aerospace, marine and energy – are strongly represented.

We are one of many MNCs to benefit from what Singapore offers. In return, we feel that we have been able to contribute to the phenomenal growth of this country, and will continue to do so in the future.

In 2007, we announced a new facility, dubbed the ‘Facility of the Future’, which will be built in Singapore to assemble and test new Trent aero engines. In 2009, we announced plans to build a new wide chord fan blade (WCFB) factory in Singapore alongside the former facility. The new factory will be the first outside the UK to manufacture Rolls-Royce hollow titanium WCFBs, a technology which has played a key role in the success of the Trent engine family. In 2009 as well, we relocated our Global Marine Headquarters from the UK to Singapore.
