Wide Chord Fan Blade Manufacturing Facility

This is the Group’s first facility outside the UK to manufacture hollow titanium Wide Chord Fan Blades, a unique technology that has played a key role in the success of the Trent aero engine family. This purpose-built facility provides additional capacity to the Group’s existing Barnoldswick operations in the UK.

• The facility is designed to simultaneously produce Wide Chord Fan Blades for multiple Trent aero engine types and has already begun manufacturing fan blades for the Trent 900 and will begin producing fan blades for the Trent 1000.
• At full capacity, the facility will produce over 6,000 blades per year.
