Nanyang Technological University – scholarship scheme
Rolls-Royce launched a scholarship programme in conjunction with Nanyang Technological University (NTU)’s aerospace engineering degree programme in 2006.

This is the first scholarship programme to be initiated by Rolls-Royce in Singapore. Moreover, NTU’s programme is the first aerospace engineering degree in Singapore.

Four undergraduates received scholarships amounting to a total of S$100,000 at the launch ceremony of the new Aerospace (Aeronautical) Engineering Degree at Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

Chosen from the top ten per cent of the first cohort of the course by a panel comprising of Rolls-Royce executives and academic staff, the scholars were evaluated based on their academic performances and through selection interviews.

Training and Attachment Programme
Organised by the Economic Development Board (EDB) of Singapore, TAP is an industry programme which aims to help companies develop manpower capabilities and prepare for growth. EDB provides the funding for the training, both in Singapore and abroad, while industry partners such as Rolls-Royce provide the training of engineers and other professionals.

The inaugural Aero Gas Turbine Technology Training and Attachment Programme involves either a nine month attachment for repair engineers or an eighteen month attachment for overhaul engineers at the Rolls-Royce facilities in Derby. After which, the applicants will return to the local facilities of Rolls-Royce in Singapore for a nine month attachment at SAESL.

Our commitment to Singapore has not been confined solely to business and industry; Rolls-Royce is also active in initiatives at community level.
