Defence Aerospace. Rolls-Royce has a wide range of defence products in service in Asia-Pacific defence markets.

The T56-powered C-130 operates throughout the region, and the upgraded C-130J, powered by four AE2100 engines, is operating with the Royal Australian Air Force. The Hawk is one of the world's - and Asia's - favourite trainer aircraft. This single-engined aircraft is powered by the Adour, and is in service with the air forces of Indonesia, Malaysia and Korea, and has also entered service in the last 12 months in Australia.

Military VIP transport aircraft in service in the region include the BR710-powered Global Express and Spey-powered F28 in Malaysia, and the Dart-powered F27 in Indonesia.

Viper-powered Aermacchi MB339 trainers also operate in the region, in Malaysia, while helicopters powered by engines in the Rolls-Royce range include the Sea King in Australia and the Lynx in Thailand, Korea and Malaysia. A variety of Model 250-powered light helicopters operate in Asia.

Rolls-Royce has assisted in establishing local support facilities for the T56 engine (for the C-130 Hercules) in Malaysia and Singapore, for the Adour (for the Hawk) in Malaysia and Indonesia, for the Model 250 (for a range of helicopters) in Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines, and for the Spey, Tay, Dart and Trent engines in Indonesia.
