Rolls-Royce firmly believes in investing in Singapore's future by helping with the development of local engineering talent. The company launched its first scholarship scheme in Singapore with the new Aerospace (Aeronautical) Engineering Degree at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2006. NTU's programme is the first aerospace engineering degree in Singapore and four undergraduates selected from the cohort received scholarships amounting to a total of S$100,000. Following the launch of the scholarship, Rolls-Royce also embarked on a mentoring programme where engineers from the company guided the undergraduates during their studies.
