Collection and management of data coupled with Rolls-Royce
product knowledge and supply chain expertise enables
engine management focused on maximum operational capability.
Engine Health Monitoring
(EHM)
EHM is an essential part of professional aircraft management,
helping to optimise operating costs and prevent service
disruption. High quality predictive support can indicate
a maintenance requirement prior to a potential event
and can assist with maintenance shop load planning and
spares scheduling.
Data Systems & Solutions (DS&S) is the provider
of the Rolls-Royce EHM service. This provides trend
monitoring of on-wing engine performance. Advisory or
alert messages are generated when significant data signatures
are recognised and these are transmitted to operators
by email or text messages.
It is a 'state of the art' predictive health service
designed to minimise operational disruptions and simplify
data reporting practices turning data into valuable
information
EHM benefits:
- Advance failure prediction to avoid the expensive
cost of operational disruption and engine repair
- Identification of effective line maintenance to
increase time on-wing
- Enables proactive fleet management capability to
reduce unplanned removals
- Engine margin forecasting to maximise on-wing life
Data handling and interpretation service to "free
up" valuable customer time
Technical publications
Rolls-Royce produces all of the technical data to support
our engines both on-wing in the operational environment
and off-wing in the overhaul environment. Technical
Data
Services distributes and supports the data within the
customer’s operation through:
- Formats compatible with aircraft publications
- Original issue and full revision service

This service enables the airline to have full visibility
of data without document management burden and web-enabled
access providing direct cost savings on administration
and potential IT investment.
Engine management

engine fleet management based upon customer operational
requirements, this service uses Rolls-Royce product
knowledge to reduce the management burden, risk of high
costs and early shop visits and enhance resource planning
to the airlines.
Optimum engine management is achieved through:
