Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes

Rolls-Royce has retained its position in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the fifth consecutive year, confirming the company's position as amongst the best in class for addressing a range of sustainability issues.

Indiana Governor's Award

In 2006, the Rolls-Royce site in Indianapolis received the 'Indiana Governor's Award for Environmental Excellence' in recognition of five years' continuous improvement in reducing resource consumption and waste generation.

European Business Awards for
the Environment 2006

Rolls-Royce was a UK finalist in the European Business Awards for the Environment 2006.

CIPS award

In 2006 the company received a Corporate Responsibility award from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply in recognition of work on the closed loop recycling of titanium both in our own operations and the supply chain.

BiTC award

In 2006 the company participated again in the Business in the Community (BiTC) and Business in the Environment (BiE) indexes receiving platinum status in both.
