As well as producing the Trent XWB engine, we have also ensured our services are ready to deploy so we can support our customers over the whole lifecycle of the engine.
I’ve worked at Rolls-Royce for seven years and been in the Trent XWB Services team for two and a half. As Service Delivery Manager, my role will be about the day-to-day support and long-term operational planning of the Trent XWB fleet to help keep our customers flying without disruption. But up to now, my role has been to ensure Rolls-Royce is ready to deploy any one of our services to any of our customers who may need them – this covers everything from training, to manuals, to spare parts.
I’ve seen the Trent XWB develop from its first run on the Flying Test Bed to seeing the departure of the first production engines for our customers. I’ll now look after the fleet on a daily basis, supported by our global representatives, mechanics and our 24/7 support here in Derby. But, what is really great, is to see everyone’s hard work come to fruition, especially those I’ve had the pleasure of working with in the Services team. I’ve also had great opportunities to work closely with Airbus and interact with our customers.
In my spare time I enjoy photography, so I can appreciate the aesthetics of the A350 XWB and Trent XWB. This is a new, exciting phase for both us and for our customers and I’m very proud to be part of the Trent XWB’s future.
