Rolls-Royce, a world-leading provider of power systems, demonstrated its global investment in knowledge, skills, technology and capability at the Paris Air Show. It showed how it delivers the resulting examples of technology and innovation to customers through products and services in its civil and defence aerospace markets.

Rolls-Royce invests over US$1.4 billion annually in research, technology and product development, two-thirds of which is aimed at improving the environmental performance of its products.

Rolls-Royce has one of the broadest portfolios of aerospace products. The growing fleet of Rolls-Royce civil engines now powers 30 different aircraft and 41 of the world's top 50 airlines and operators. The Group is also the second largest defence aero engine manufacturer in the world.

Its global research network draws on the talents of leading universities and research centres to produce some of the most innovative technologies in use in the aerospace industry.

In the services market, Rolls-Royce is also leading the field in both the civil and military sectors, applying the technologies and software tools developed for its successful civil TotalCare aftermarket programme to the military sector where the company is now pioneering partnered support and availability-based solutions.
