In the past two years, Rolls-Royce has established four state-of-the art civil aerospace facilities in the Americas.
Civil aero engines are designed and built in North America, the UK and Germany. Indianapolis, Indiana is home to the largest manufacturing site outside the UK. Turboprops for civil aircraft are also built by Rolls-Royce in North America. These include the AE2100 and Model 250. In addition, the company manufactures the Model 250 and AE 1107 turboshafts, which power 3,800 civil turbine helicopters in North America, more than four times that of the nearest competitor.
Rolls-Royce has a lead position in the corporate aircraft engine market, with 90% of these engines delivered to airframe manufacturers in the Americas. These include aircraft built by Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Cessna, Embraer, Gulfstream, Raytheon Aircraft and Sino Swearingen.
The Rolls-Royce North America headquarters, outside Washington, DC is home to the Civil Aerospace Americas and Corporate & Regional Engines customer business. Rolls-Royce facilities throughout the Americas provide a broad range of engine installation, field service, repair & overhaul and maintenance support to airline customers, corporate aircraft operators and airframe manufacturers.
Rolls-Royce also offers its customers flight-hour engine maintenance plans, known as TotalCare® for commercial and regional jetliners and as CorporateCare® for business jets. Available to support new and in-service engines, the programs provide operators with stable and predictable maintenance expenses and eliminate costs associated with unscheduled events.
