Rolls-Royce North America is a socially responsible corporate citizen and a good neighbor. The company and its employees actively support their local communities. In 2008, the organization contributed nearly $850, 000 to philanthropic organizations and activities in the region.
Rolls-Royce North America Inc. became a national corporate partner of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in 2008. Thanks to the efforts of our employees we had 37 teams nation wide, and in our first year raised over $90,000!
In 2004, Rolls-Royce partnered with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation to award scholarships to children of employees who qualify as finalists for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Fifteen scholarships have been awarded since the program’s inception, with five being awarded in 2008, the most in a single year thus far. National Merit Scholars demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, abilities and accomplishments.
Rolls-Royce and its employees across the nation participate with the United Way, a national network of organizations that work to advance the common good by focusing on education, income and health. Annually Rolls-Royce donates over $300,000 to the United Way!
Each year Rolls-Royce Canada Limited holds a month long fundraising campaign to support Centraide, the United Way of Canada. Employees are invited to participate in fundraising activities to include payroll deductions, raffles and “Centraide Dish of the Day” lunches. Annually the campaign raises over $140,000!
