Civil Aerospace

Rolls-Royce powers 3,800 aircraft for leading US and Canadian airlines and corporate operators. Rolls-Royce also powers 3,800 civil turbine helicopters in North America, more than four times that of the nearest competitor. Rolls-Royce engines power 600 airlines around the world including more than 40 of the top 50. Our customers also rely on us for aftermarket, repair and overhaul services, all based in North America.

• American Airlines is the company’s largest airline customer in the world
• Gulfstream is our largest corporate aircraft customer worldwide
• 90 per cent of Rolls-Royce corporate jet engine deliveries go to air framers in the Americas including Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Cessna, Embraer and Gulfstream
• To date, over 6,500 Rolls-Royce Model 250 engines have been delivered to Bell for its 206 Helicopter line.

Defense Aerospace

Rolls-Royce engines and technology have proudly served the US and allied armed forces on land, at sea and in the air in most major military conflicts of the past 100 years.

• The US Department of Defense (DoD) is the company’s largest government customer worldwide
• Rolls-Royce has been involved with the Joint Striker Fighter program, the world’s largest ever fighter program, since its inception in 1996

Marine

Rolls-Royce delivers innovative, reliable and environmentally-sensitive marine solutions to more than 2,000 commercial customers and 50 navies around the world. From gas turbines and diesel engines to electrical generators and shiplifts, the company offers the widest range of marine capabilities and products of any single marine supplier. Rolls-Royce is the world leader in the design of shiplifts and transfer systems, with 224 Syncrolifts in 67 countries.

Energy

Rolls-Royce provides highly-efficient, turbine driven gas compression, oil pumping and power generation packages for on- and offshore applications worldwide. To meet society’s increasing energy needs, Rolls-Royce is investing in next generation products and capabilities for the oil & gas and power generation industries. In energy markets, Rolls-Royce has supplied more than 4,000 gas turbines to customers in over 80 countries.

Rolls-Royce has established a new business unit to address the global market for civil nuclear power. With about 2,000 specialist nuclear-focused employees, the company has a significant skills base, and this business unit is planned to support a number of the phases of a civil nuclear program including providing advice to governments and operators, technical engineering support and safety assessments, manufacturing, procurement and through life support.

Rolls-Royce Fuel Cell Systems (US) Inc. conducts ongoing research and development in solid oxide fuel cell technology with the goal of developing a commercially viable megawatt scale fuel cell power system within this decade. An advanced energy power system, the solid oxide fuel cell directly produces electricity and heat using natural gas as a fuel.
