Tom Loehr is Executive Vice President, Crosspointe, the new Rolls-Royce aerospace manufacturing center currently under development in Prince George County, Virginia. In this role, Loehr is accountable for delivering all aspects of the master program plan for this site including internal manufacturing facilities, research centers and supplier co-location activities, as well as liaising with the Commonwealth of Virginia, universities and other partners.
Prior to this position, Loehr served as Vice President, Purchasing, for Rolls-Royce Corporation in Indianapolis, Indiana. He joined Rolls-Royce in 2000 as Vice President of Finance and IT at Rolls-Royce Corporation and was fundamental in leading significant cash flow improvements.
Previously, Loehr served in a dual capacity for the Rogers Group in Indiana as Managing Director of Block Manufacturing and Region Controller. In this role, he brought the company’s Block Manufacturing Unit through a performance turnaround as well as led the company’s financial function across a broad range of operating units located in Indiana and Ohio.
Earlier, Loehr spent 16 years with Honeywell in South Carolina in a series of progressively senior finance and operations positions including Director of Finance and Business Systems and Business Unit Manager of Turbine & Compressor Disc manufacturing. While in these roles, he led significant operating performance improvements utilizing lean manufacturing techniques and cultural change.
Loehr began his career with Emerson Electric in South Carolina, serving in various supply chain related positions including production planning and inventory control.
Loehr received a BS in Management from the University of South Carolina in 1980 and a MBA from Clemson University in 1989.
