Tom was appointed President, Rolls-Royce Defense in December 2012. In this regard, he has overall responsibility for Rolls-Royce's global defense aerospace business. Tom leads an organization, which has an installed base of approximately 18,000 engines in service with 160 customers in 103 countries. It is the world's number two defense aero engine company and has produced over a quarter of the world's currently installed military engines.
Tom joined Rolls-Royce as President – Customer Business, Defense North America in June 2012 with responsibility, accountability, and authority for leading Rolls-Royce Defense's Customer Business organization in the United States.
Tom has extensive aerospace experience having worked previously for Lockheed Martin and Boeing. Prior to his joining Rolls-Royce, Tom was most recently Vice President, Strategy and Business Capture with Boeing.
Tom has distinctive global aerospace expertise having lived abroad as President of U.K. Operations for Boeing Aerospace U.K. Ltd. in London. Tom also spent significant time as an expatriate in Helsinki, Finland and in shorter assignments around the globe.
Tom is a graduate of Louisiana State University and holds an MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology.
