Robert (Bob) Stoddart is Executive Vice President,
Crosspointe, the new Rolls-Royce aero engine facility
currently under development in Prince George County,
Virginia. In this role, Stoddart’s initial
priorities include managing the construction program,
engagement of suppliers and partners, and creation
of the on-site management team and organization.
Prior to this position, Stoddart was Director
of Production Programs, Assembly and Test, Rolls-Royce
Defense Aerospace. This followed six years with
the company’s defense aerospace sector
during which he held a series of increasingly
senior program manager and subsequently program
director roles.
Stoddart first joined Rolls-Royce in 1983 as
a sponsored undergraduate trainee and quickly
became a member of the company’s global
Accelerated Leadership Development program.
In his 25 years with Rolls-Royce, he has worked
principally in the areas of engineering, marketing,
supply chain and operations.
A graduate of Glasgow University with a First
Class Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering,
Stoddart also holds a Professional Diploma in
Management from the company-sponsored Open University
Business School.
