
Rajesh “Raj” Sharma is President -
Rolls-Royce Engine Services - Oakland Inc. (RRESO),
responsible for all business development, planning,
operating and staff functions of the business.
RRESO employs approximately 500 employees.
At its Oakland, California, US 375,000 sq.
ft. aero gas turbine engine repair and overhaul
facility, RRESO staffs 8 engine test cells and
engages in aftermarket services for the AE 1107/V-22,
AE427, T56 Series III, and Model 250 engines.
At Naval Air Station Kingsville, Texas and
Naval Air Station Meridian, Mississippi RRESO
performs repair and overhaul of the F405 engine
in a Power-by-the-Hour Program for the US Navy.
And, in Indianapolis, Indiana and Newark, New
Jersey as well as various customer locations,
RRESO On-Wing Care provides warranty, preventive
maintenance, repair and AOG services to corporate
and airline customers flying the AE3007A, AE3007C,
BR710, BR715, RB211-535, Tay 611-8, Trent 800,
and Trent 900.
Sharma is also the President and Chief Executive
Officer of Rolls-Royce Engine Services Limitada
Inc. (RRESLI), located at the former Clark Air
Force Base in the Philippines. Founded in 2000,
RRESLI serves as a gateway for business in the
Asia Pacific Region and reflects the long term
and successful working relationship RRESO has
cultivated with its main Philippine customer,
the Philippine Air Force.
Formerly, he served as President of National
Airmotive Corporation (NAC) prior to the Rolls-Royce
acquisition in 1999. He held a series of successive
senior management roles prior to taking the
helm as NAC President in 1997.
Prior to joining NAC in 1991, Raj was Controller
of a manufacturing company where he played a
key role in the implementation of a “Class
A” MRPII System, which significantly leveraged
the performance of the business.
Sharma is a graduate of Sri Ram College and
Delhi University in Delhi, India and a Chartered
Accountant in India. He also earned his Certification
in Production
and Inventory Management (CPIM) through the
American Production and Inventory Control Society
(APICS).
