
Dennis Jarvi joined Rolls-Royce in July 2004 and
is responsible for leading the $1.3 billion Defense
Business in North America. He reports directly
to the President & CEO of Rolls-Royce North
America and is a member of the company’s
global defense executive team.
Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, Jarvi held the
position of Vice President & General Manager
of the V-22 Program at Bell Helicopter. Reporting
directly to the Bell CEO, he was responsible
for all aspects of the V-22 Program ranging
from day-to-day operations to long range strategic
planning. Jarvi was also VP & GM at Detroit
Diesel Corporation from 1996 to 2001. He also
spent 11 years with McDonnell Douglas Corporation.
He served eight years on active duty as a Naval
Aviator flying F/A-18 and A-7E aircraft. He
was assigned to VA-86 on the USS Nimitz from
1979 to 1982 and to VFA-125 in Lemoore, California
from 1982 to 1984. He retired as a Commander
in 1999, after serving for 14 years with the
U.S Naval Reserves. He accumulated over 2000
flight hours and 450 carrier arrested landings.
Jarvi graduated Cum Laude from Western Michigan
University with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics.
He also holds a M.S. in Business Management
from Maryville University, Missouri.
